Anand "Ram Karthik", an aspiring young Radio Jackie. One day, one boy called the radio center and told that I am a love failure and now I am going to do suicide. After listing his concern, Anand narrates a love story to keep him away from suicide. He told that story episode wise and his story becomes very popular. Incidentally, this story becomes true in Anand's life and bring his love "Pranali Ghoghare" closer to him. For finding out his love Anand faces many problems and struggles much. Summer 1989, East Germany. Adam works as a tailor, Evelyn as a waitress. They are planning a vacation together when Evelyn finds out that Adam is cheating on her and decides to leave for the holiday on her own. She travels to Hungary, trailed by Adam. As the border with Austria falls, everything changes in Hungary. The frontiers are open, as the new possibilities for Adam and Evelyn to decide in which world – Eastern or Western – they want to build a happy life. Adam und Evelyn is based on the homonymous novel by Ingo Schulze, translated in more than ten languages.

After years Toni and Rosa meet again in their old home village in southern Germany. While the village itself has to adapt to the changes of the future, the two women develop an explosive relationship until they reach a point, where both have to make a decision.
